Their exciting construction projects and significant professional development and mentoring opportunities make PCL a great choice for younger employees.

This special designation recognizes the employers that offer the nation’s best workplaces and programs for young people starting their careers.

“Beginning your career after finishing school, or starting with a new company, is an exciting time for our younger generation of workers”, says Mike Olsson, vice president of human resources and professional development.

At PCL, we make it a priority to have an exceptional student program, one that provides close to 600 placements per year throughout our company. This pipeline connects us with the next generation of talent, and each year more than 90 students become full-time PCL employees. Our younger employees have amazing opportunities to learn and grow and become integral team members very quickly. From there, the sky’s the limit.

Canada’s Top Employers for Young People is a competition organized by the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project, a national competition to determine which employers lead their industries in offering the best workplaces for their employees. PCL was named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers in November for the 11th year in a row.
